We were planning to start a series on the spiritual disciplines next week, but I think that instead will will take a moment to consider God's faithfulness. The readings this will remind us who he is and that we are called to show him to the world around us.
Here's a challenge for you...have you ever considered that the stories we read in Scripture are things that actually happened to the folks that lived those stories? Just like Pastor Phil shared this morning, when Ham, Shem, and Japeth talked about the story about the Ark and the flood, they weren't talking about someone they read about that did something a long time ago...they were talking about something they did with their dad.
If you journal, then this won't be a new exercise. If you don't journal, this might seem daunting. What story about God's involement in your life could you share with someone to help them see God's goodness and faithfulness?

**when I tested the links this afternoon, some of them flashed the reading briefly then reported an error. The error appears to be on the bible.com site...if you are unable to open the link, please grab your Bible and look up the references. You might notice that in order to get Friday's reading to post, I had to include an extra verse...you just gotta love technology.
