Self-less. Set free. This week we are going to learn some more about being perfect.

Now might be a good time to remind us that perfect isn't flawless, it is completeness. In fact, the outline for next Sunday's sermon carries the following takeaway: "Christian perfection isn't about being flawless - it's about being filled."

We are almost 1/2 between Easter and Pentecost and it might be worth mentioning that our discipleship journey is designed to build upon itself. Perhaps we could look at it as compounding. Each thing we learn about our journey of faith keeps us grounded and connected with what we've already learned, but it also paves the way for our spiritual growth and maturity to continue to shape us more and more like Jesus.
