In preparation for our special missionary speaker next week, this week's readings will remind us about God's call, commission, and heart for missionary work throughout Scripture.

Monday - Genesis 12:1-9

Tuesday - Isaiah 6:1-8

Wednesday - Jonah 3:1-10

Thursday - Romans 10:9-17

Friday - Acts 13:1-12

Saturday - 2 Corinthians 5:14-21

Sunday - Revelation 7:9-17

Notice that these are not just the stories of Paul's missionary journeys, and they are not the Great Commission from Matthew 28. Each us us is called to be a missionary...we might never step foot on foreign soil, but we are called to share the Gospel and be the hands and feet of Jesus wherever we are (and wherever we go).

We will get back to our series on the spiritual disciplines on October 11th and 18th. We'll be looking into the disciplines of worship, confession, solitude, and simplicity.
